2007! |
| |
| Don't wait until the last minute. The certification
process involves a third-party certifying organization which
delays the process. |

| As of January 1, 2007 all crane operators
who operate a mobile or tower crane must be certified by an
Accredited Certifying Entity for the type of crane to be used... |

| EXCEPTIONS TO NRS 618.880: |
- Mobile cranes having a usable boom length of less than
25 feet OR a maximum rated load capacity of less than 15,000
pounds;
- An employee of a Utility while the person is engaged in
work for or at the direction of the utility;
- An operator of an electric or utility line truck that
is regulated pursuant to 29 CFR § 1910.269 or 29 CFR,
Subpart V; or
- An operator of an aerial or lifting device, whether or
not self-propelled, that is designed and manufactured with
the specific purpose of lifting one or more persons in the
lifted position while they perform tasks. Such devices include,
without limitation:
- A bucket truck or lift;
- An aerial platform;
- A platform lift; or
- A scissors lift.
