Hazard Communication Written Program
O.S.T.S., Inc. will develop a site-specific program focused on your company’s specific operations. The written document will be directed toward the five main areas of the Hazard Communication Standard - Chemical usage summary, policies/procedures, MSDS collection/distribution, labeling, and training. The final document will meet and/or exceed Cal and Fed OSHA standards, CCR Title 8 Section 5194 / 29 CFR 1910.1200. A Hazard Communication employee safety training video is available at an additional charge - may be used for new hires.

Hazard Communication Employee Training
This training session will ensure that your employees understand the potential for exposure and their liability and responsibility as it relates to your company's Hazard Communication Program. Individuals who participate in this training will be given a comprehensive overview of the Standard, your written policies and procedures, material safety data sheets, your company's chemical labeling system and how to recognize and protect themselves from hazardous materials / chemicals. Participants will receive materials / handouts needed to assist in subject retention. Class will last approximately 1 hour. The session will consist of lecture, handouts and video presentation.

The Hazard Communication Standard requires the following issues to be addressed:


1. Conduct an Evaluation of Chemical Usage and Potential Employee Exposure
2. Develop a Written Program
3. Assign Responsible Personnel
3. Obtain MSDSs for all Chemicals Within The Workplace
4. Establish A Labeling System
5. * Acquire Needed Personal Protective Equipment
5. Conduct Training for Employees
6. Establish Procedures To Maintain The Program

All training is performed in accordance with Federal OSHA, applicable State-chartered OSHA, and other State Regulations and local Ordinances.
