High Voltage Electrical Safety Training
Inherent dangers exist with the distribution, maintenance and repair of electrical apparatus. The proper use of safety equipment, knowledge of electrical hazards, and understanding of how to respond in the event of an electrical disaster are absolutely essential for all electrical personnel.
This course is designed to explain the principles of recognizing and correcting dangerous conditions, avoiding unsafe acts, working safely, and understanding codes and standards relating to 600 volts or above. The latest technology, standards and materials available are presented and demonstrated.
Anyone who works on or near power generation, transmission, or distribution systems should attend this course. Additionally, supervisors, managers, safety personnel, and those responsible for ensuring a safe work environment should attend this course. Course covers the Federal and State OSHA codes and regulations CFR 29 1910.331 – 335 & 1910.269. CAL OSHA Title 8 Chapter 5 High Voltage Safety Orders.

Low Voltage Electrical Safety Training
This electrical safety principles and procedures course targets employees who perform work on or near electrical equipment and systems energized up to 600 volts and focuses on the electrical safe work practices required by Cal/OSHA. This intensive one-day course includes OSHA Standards, Hazards of Electricity, Protection Devices, Personal Protective Equipment, Grounding, Safe Work Practices, and the Approach Boundaries and other applicable sections of NFPA 70E. It is also offered as a one-day refresher course.
